It's me. Hello.
The Wesa Collective is Taylor Wesa — plus the vendors, contractors, venues, and production partners I bring in per project. You work with me directly, and I build the right team around the work.
My background spans events, operations, project management, live entertainment, hospitality, and the less-glamorous systems that make all of those things actually function.
I’ve spent more than 15 years working in the space between an idea and its execution. I’m at my best when there are a lot of moving parts, an ambitious goal, and a need for someone to figure out how all of it is actually going to work.
How I work
I’m happiest behind the scenes, where the plan becomes real.
I can polish up nicely when the occasion calls for it, but I’m equally comfortable in a T-shirt and tennis shoes, sweating through load-in and solving whatever needs solving. I don’t mind being in the room when the work happens. I just believe the best day-of execution usually starts weeks, or months earlier.
That’s why I work at the operations level deliberately.
I build timelines, workflows, run-of-show documents, staffing plans, vendor processes, budgets, sponsor deliverables, project plans, and all the other things that keep something from relying on memory, luck, or one person holding the whole thing together.
I bring structure to messy work, stay calm when plans change, and pay attention to the things other people don’t realize are important until they become expensive.
I’m also not someone who will quietly follow a plan I think is going to fail. If I see a risk, I’ll bring it up. I’ll tell you what it could cost, what it could affect, and what I’d do instead. The goal isn’t to win an argument. It’s to keep the project from driving off a cliff because everyone was hoping it would probably be fine.
Where that came from
My career hasn’t followed one industry, and I think that’s made me better at this work.
I started in the culinary and hospitality world, where details matter, timing matters, and the guest experiences the result whether or not they understand what went into creating it.
From there, I spent more than a decade in live entertainment, working across client relations, marketing, roster operations, internal systems, and leadership. That eventually led into larger event and project work - building timelines, coordinating stakeholders, managing vendors, budgets, sponsors, logistics, and the operational structure behind experiences involving a lot of people and very little room for ambiguity.
I’ve worked across culinary, hospitality, live entertainment, events, firearms, small businesses, and brands. The vocabulary changes. The people change, but the fundamentals really haven’t. Teams need clarity. Clients want to feel understood. And good work depends on trust, communication, and someone actually following through. That’s the part I’ve always been drawn to.
What I'm building now
The Wesa Collective grew out of that work.
The core is still project management, event development, operations, logistics, and systems - helping someone move from “we want to do this” to “this is actually happening.”
But the business is growing in a few directions that come from the same instinct.
The Swag Bag focuses on branded gifting and event swag that actually feels specific to the people receiving it, their company, their industry, their language, their inside jokes, and the occasion itself.
The Kits are rental event activations with the concept, setup, and practical details already thought through, so a client can add something memorable to an event without starting from zero.
They may look different on the surface, but they all come back to the same thing: paying attention, thinking ahead, and making the details connect.
Outside of work
I’m based in Staunton, Virginia, and work remotely across the country. If a project is right, I’m happy to get on a plane.
Outside of work, I’m grounded by my Canadian and Finnish heritage and a healthy respect for sisu - the kind of steady determination that matters more when things are difficult than when they’re easy.
I hike, practice yoga, cook, collect things with stories, and firmly believe a home, like an event or a gift, is better when the things in it mean something.
